Past performance is not a forecast
A fund with the highest historical return is not automatically suitable for you. Compare funds with similar mandates, currency and risk exposure, and use matching dates and consistent treatment of fees.
| Research field | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Fund / share class | A similar name can hide different costs or mandates. |
| 1, 3, 5 and 10-year returns | Use a matching end date; distinguish cumulative from annualised returns. |
| Risk and asset mix | Higher returns may come with larger falls in value. |
| Charges | Establish which charges are already reflected in returns. |
| Source date | Read the current provider factsheet and key information. |
