Content governance

How pension information is prepared

Pensions Ireland separates general education, calculation assumptions and personal advice. Material claims about tax, pension limits, State benefits and scheme rules are checked against current primary Irish sources during preparation. Each maintained page carries a review date, while calculator assumptions are documented separately.

Review roles

Research and evidence

Identifies material claims, records the applicable date and checks the source used for the statement.

Calculation review

Tests formulas, boundary conditions and examples independently before calculator changes are released.

Professional application

A matched advisor is responsible for fact-finding, suitability and any personal recommendation within their regulated service.

No anonymous expert claims.

A named professional reviewer will only be displayed where that person has approved the content and their role can be verified. A review date does not mean the page is personal advice.

Corrections policy

Rules and figures can change. If you identify an error, email our editorial inbox (opens your email app) and include the page address, the statement in question and supporting detail. Material corrections are prioritised, the affected page is reviewed, and its date is updated when the correction is published.

Publication standard

  • No invented testimonials, credentials, relationships or performance results.
  • No product ranking without a disclosed and repeatable method.
  • No personal suitability statement from a calculator.
  • Assumptions and important exclusions appear with the result.
  • Time-sensitive pages are reviewed after a material rule change.
